Anderson, from his jury convictions of aggravated robbery (K.S.A. 21-3427) and conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery (K.S.A. 21-3302). On April 14, 1985, Robert Grout was on duty at Grose's Grocery Store in Arkansas City. At approximately 7:30 p.m., Grout was alone in the back of the store when he was confronted by a stockily built black man wearing a nylon hose over his face and carrying a sawed-off shotgun.
